Welfare of Kashmiris desire of people of Pakistan: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said that well-being and welfare of Kashmiris is the passion of people of Pakistan and added that his keen interest to ensure development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is the reflection of same sentiments.He was talking to Barrister Sultan Mehmood, former Prime Minister of AJK and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, at the Prime Minister House here. The Prime Minister said the democratic government would continue to extend its moral, diplomatic and political support to the people of Kashmir aimed at seeking resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri brethren.

He referred to his meetings with the Indian Prime Minister in which both leaders agreed to settle all outstanding issues between both countries including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir through negotiations and dialogue.
Barrister Sultan Mehmood thanked the Prime Minister for taking personal interest in the socio-economic development of AJK.
He appreciated the Prime Minister’s announcement of establishment of international airport, opening of medical college, construction of new campus of Information Technology University in Mirpur, dual carriageway between Lower Topa and Kohala and Mehran Shah Bridge.
