Lucknow, Sep 8 Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday, while congratulating the people, for the party win in the by-election to Ghosi assembly seat in Mau district, termed it as the ‘victory of democracy’.
Akhilesh said that the victory of SP and I.N.D.I.A alliance candidate in the by-election has not only broken the arrogance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but also given an indication of the result of 2024 Lok Sabha election. “This is the beginning of BJP’s countdown,” he said.
He said that the SP’s victory in the by-poll to Ghosi seat is the victory of positive politics and defeat of communal negative politics. “This is also a befitting reply to BJP’s politics of subversion and division of society.
BJP tried its best to misuse power but the public taught its candidate a lesson by giving a befitting reply,” Yadav said.
The SP chief said that Bharat has started making INDIA win. “UP will once again become the leader of change of power in the country.
BJP had cheated with the mandate given by the people in the 2022 election.
Six years have passed since the formation of BJP government in UP after coming to power in 2017. The people of the state are devastated by anarchy all around, Akhilesh alleged.
