Srinagar: It is imperative to fight oppressive forces and we have no other option other than to strive for freedom movement and while reiterating his appeal for protest demonstration after Friday prayers on September 20 and shutdown on September 21st Syeed Ali Geelani said that the Gool and Markundal incidents would take place as long as the forced occupation of India persists there. While commenting over the proposed shifting of Gagran CRPF camp, Syed Ali Geelani said that this is not going to make any difference. He proposed the slogans, end occupation, stop genocide and implement UN resolutions and added that we have no option other than to fight against forced occupation.

Geelani said that that it is obligatory for us that neither we should provide any kind of support or cast our votes for the pro-occupation political parties. Strongly criticizing and condemning the government’s move for sabotaging the proposed peaceful UNO march, Syed Ali Geelani said that despite all restrictions and hurdles the youth, Tehreek e Hurriyat and all constituent units of Hurriyat Conference did their best to reach Hurriyat headquarter Hyderpora.
Geelani while hailing youth and the participants said that they did a commendable job. Geelani while in his appreciation thanked legal fraternity and BAR association said that their contribution is praiseworthy and though they made their best efforts but police foiled their programme Thursday, Syed Ali Geelani said that forced military occupation of India is the root cause of all sufferings and miseries, the people of Jammu and Kashmir face and added it is in the presence Indian forces that our honor, life, cultre, economy, faith, religion and prosperities are at stake and added that India in a bestial manner is killing us and on the other hand our Muslim identity is being targeted.
Geelani said that if we neglected our responsibilities, then it could wipe out the future of our young generation and they would perish. He said I can foresee and I feel it is writing over the wall and everybody could easily understand the serious situation. While referring to Umer Abdullah, Mufti Syed and Gh Nabi Azad, Syed Ali Geelani claimed that they are pawns for Indian authorities and it is they who are serving the interests of India and added that while providing vote and political support has proved detrimental for our freedom movement and protracted our destination and freedom. Hurriyat Chairman said elections are a serious issue and India for its political outcome is portraying these for its interests and legitimizing its occupation.
While referring to Shopian, Gool and Markundal episodes, Syed Ali Geelani said that these rulers lack conscience and do not feel their obligations and there is no moral justification for them to be in power corridors. They have no right and should feel ashamed for their laxity, said Syed Ali Geelani and added that they were never in a position to save honor and precious lives. Syed Ali Geelani once again reiterated his stand and added that neither it is our hobby nor we for mere fun call for protests however, when innocent people are killed and we are left with the only option to demonstrate our resentment and express solidarity with the afflicted families.
While commenting over the reviews about the strike calls in some sections, Syed Ali Geelani invited them and asked to deliberate over and added God forbid if such incidents come about in their lives what would be their reaction in that case. Syed Ali Geelani added that in these circumstances everybody would like to protest and wish that somebody come to their rescue. He expressed his deep concern over the continuous curfew and restriction and urged authorities to lift the restrictions without any further delay.
