Three Militants arrested in Narbal after brief shootout

Srinagar 29 Oct : Three Militants were arrested on Monday after they open fire on Naka party at Narbal near Noora Hospital Srinagar.

According to reports, “A car was signaled to stop by a Naka party at Narbal, three persons travelling in the vehicle fired upon government force.

The cops returned the fire triggering off a brief shootout which resulted in the bullet injuries of one person and the arrest of the other two.

An official said, Aqib Ahmad Dhobi son of Ghulam Mohammad Dhobi a resident of Tral, Zahid son of Abdul Rashid Rather resident of Poshwana Awantipora were arrested while as Tariq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ahad Sheikh resident of Dangerpora Pulwama was injured.

“The injured has been shifted to JVC hospital for treatment. The affiliation of the trio is yet to be established,” he added.

Meanwhile, SSP Srinagar, Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that Naka has been set following specific information about the moment of militants.

As the car passed through the area, the security forces asked them it to stop but the persons travelling in the vehicle opened fire which resulted into a brief shootout, he said.

However a case has been registered and further investigation taken up, the SSP said.
