Surprise visits conducted by DHSK, directs public grievances redressed

Srinagar, Oct 31(KMW): In order to ensure punctuality and better patient care reforms, Dr. Kunzes Dolma, Director Health Services Kashmir had an extensive tour of district Srinagar. She paid surprise visits to the health facilities including PHC Shuhama, district Ganderbal. DHSK had surpirse visit of PHC Burhama, NTPHC Khimber, Urban Health Centre Zakura and Urban Health Centre Lal Bazar. She took on spot cognizance of the matters related to constructions going on or help up due to certain reasons.
DHSK directed Dy. Director Health Services (P&S) to ensure that the issues are sorted out at an earliest in the interest of patient care with the concerned executing agencies and also submit the action taken within week`s time. The staff in various health institutions was present and were functioning to the satisfaction of the public at large and patients in particular. When asked about the surprise visits and frequent touring, she said that in order to strengthen and augment patient care facilities such visits were of utmost importance and has also a purpose to reach out to the public at large for redressal of grievances if any at times.
DHSK directed the administrators of various institutions to ensure cleanliness and dress during the duty hours and also reach out to the public with the information pertaining to various facilities being provided by the department. The public and various social activists of the areas have praised of such move in the interest of patient care delivery system and have expressed high hopes of such supervision and monitoring experiences for the betterment of managing human related services.
