Kargil, April 15, 2024: A SVEEP awareness program was held today at Govt Degree College, Kargil, Bagh-e-Khomeini.
The event began with a welcome speech by Campus Ambassador, GDC Kargil, Mohammad Tawheed.
This was followed by screening of a documentary on SVEEP and its role in increasing voter participation.
The Campus Ambassador , Mohammad Tawheed, presented a PPT on the role of SVEEP in ensuring and enabling maximum voter participation.
The presentation shed light on important information regarding voter registration, focusing on the first time voters. The presentation made the students, new voters, aware of necessary information regarding which forms to fill and where to source and submit these forms.
SVEEP Convener, Professor Tsewang Gyalson in his address talked about the importance of one single vote and why must we vote. He appealed students and faculty to cast their invaluable vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The SVEEP campus ambassador, Mohammad Tawheed, then conducted the oath ceremony which was followed by enthusiastic sloganeering.
Faiza Naaz, presented the vote of thanks. The entire event was moderated by Mehboob Ali and other attendees included faculty members of the University and students.
