Kargil, August 02: A three-day Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) Learning workshop, organized by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil in

collaboration with the Piramal Foundation, concluded with a valedictory ceremony attended by educators, trainees, and dignitaries.

The workshop aimed to equip teachers with tools to foster emotional intelligence, ethical awareness, and social responsibility among students.

Principal DIET Kargil, S.D. Namgyal, highlighted the transformative potential of SEE Learning in shaping compassionate and resilient learners. He commended the contributions of Mr. Nishant Payal, Program Manager at Piramal Foundation Ladakh, and resource persons Mr. Wasim Raja Bhat and Mr. Rayees Sofi for facilitating the training. He encouraged participants to implement SEE

strategies in classrooms to promote holistic and value-based education.

Tsering Angdu, Deputy CEO Sankoo, emphasized integrating SEE principles into everyday school practices. He reflected on the traditional roots of emotional and ethical learning in Ladakhi culture and praised its revival through modern pedagogical frameworks.

The workshop engaged educators in reflective activities, attention training, compassion cultivation, and ethical reasoning. Participants explored methods to create safer, more inclusive learning environments and were encouraged to integrate SEE practices into daily school routines, including morning assemblies and classroom interactions.

In the closing session, the Training Coordinator expressed gratitude to all contributors and urged participants to translate their learning into impactful classroom practices. This workshop marked a continued effort toward nurturing well-rounded, empathetic, and socially responsible students across Ladakh.
