Rajendra visits Baramulla, Bandipora; Reviews security scenario

Srinagar, July 29: Calling for close coordination among all security agencies to maintain continuous vigil on the activities of anti-national elements, Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar has said that greater synergy among the agencies is must for ensuring peace and security in the State.
Mr. Rajendra was chairing police officers meetings during his visit to North Kashmir districts of Baramulla and Bandipore today, attended by IGP Kashmir, SJM Gillani, Range Dy. Inspector General of Police and all district police officers including Sub-divisional police officers of these districts.
Reviewing the law and order, security scenario and achievements in anti-militancy operations in the districts, Mr. Rajendra reiterated that nobody will be allowed to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere and JKP is committed to deal the anti-national elements firmly. He said people of the Valley want peaceful atmosphere in which uninterrupted education to the children, running of business establishments, developmental activities and good turnout of tourist flow. He said peace is imperative for the overall development and safety of the people.
Discussing the achievements on anti-militancy front, the DGP said that security of people is our prime concern and every effort is made to curb nefarious designs of bad elements. JKP, with other security agencies has always ensure safety of the people, avoiding loss to the life and property of the common masses, while dealing abnormal situations, said the DGP. He stressed upon the officers to maintain close coordination with their ranks and strengthen relations with the people to achieve better results.
Mr. Rajendra said that it is our firm commitment to provide better professional service to the people of the State, JKP has prioritised to bring the misguided youth on right path and channelize their energies. Our efforts will continue to guide our youth towards positive activities by strengthening community policing at all levels.
Mr. Rajendra appreciated the professional efforts of officers of twin districts to thwart attempts by some miscreants to disrupt cellular networks and its restoration without wasting valuable time of common cellular users. He said at present times communication network has become lifeline of people as these services are availed by all sections of the society.
During the meetings, DIG (North Kashmir), Mr. Garib Dass and the Superintendents of Police of twin districts, Mr. Suhail Munwar Mir and Mr. Mohammed Shabir apprised the DGP about latest law and order, security scenario in the districts. They also apprised about the efforts put in place to counter the subversive elements in the districts and get desired achievements.
DGP also addressed durbars in twin districts. He stressed upon the jawans and officers that they are representing a disciplined force in the field and have to prove themselves people friendly. He said eyes of the people always remain on the cops activities and they have to deliver the public in a befitting manner. He asked jawans and officers, present in dubars that people have faith on JKP and visit police offices, police stations to get justice. They should be given a patient hearing and genuine problems redressed on priority. Our attitude with the people will definitely help us to achieve more heights of success on professional policing, said the DGP.
