“This was the first major massacre in Kashmir committed and carried out by Indian forces after the inception of politico-armed struggle for right to self-determination of people of Kashmir. Mr. War appealed International Human Rights Organizations in general and UN Human Rights Commissioner in particular to set up an International Tribunal to probe the Gawkadal massacre so that the conspirators and perpetrators of this heinous crime are punished under International.

Expressing a strong resentment, Mr. War said such tactics won’t bog down the freedom loving Kashmiris and their leadership. He condemned the highhandedness of the state police in strong words and said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris will bear the fruit of freedom.
