PM directs govt departments to assist public representatives

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday directed all the government departments to extend assistance to the public representatives to help resolve the issues of common man.Talking to parliamentarians here at the PM House, he also directed the ministries, carrying out different development projects, to increase their level of coordination to ensure their timely completion.The Prime Minister said that the allocation for Public Sector Development Fund (PSDP) had doubled over the last four years. He said that the government wanted to increase the scope and size of development projects, but was unable to do so due to increasing demand in the face of budgetary constraints.He said that the government had embarked on rationalization and prioritization of development projects for maximum impact and the best value of money.The Prime Minister directed the parliamentarians to prioritize their projects in their respective constituencies to ensure their timely completion.(KMW News)
