Pakistani minister praises Supreme Leader’s role for Ummah unity

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has praised the role of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for bringing unity in Muslim Ummah.
She made the remark in a meeting with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan Ali Reza Haqiqan who called on her and discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral ties particularly cooperation in the fields of media and culture.

She further stressed the need for enhancing cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the fields of media and culture.

The minister emphasized that information agreement between the two neighborly countries should be fully implemented.

During the meeting the Iranian Ambassador called for boosting of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of media information, art and culture.

Highlighting the importance of Pakistani philosopher and poet Iqbal Lahori for Iran and Pakistan, he suggested a joint movie production on the life of the great philosopher.

The Iranian ambassador said that Iran and Pakistan should also cooperate further in electronic media and carry out joint productions.

He said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy strong rations in all sectors. Ali Reza Haqiqan assured Pakistan of full cooperation from Iranian side in the field of culture and media.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan welcomed the idea given by Iranian ambassador of making a documentary on the life of Iqbal Lahori, assuring that the ministry would extend all possible assistance in this regard. (KMW News)
