Omar lays foundation of Kashmir North Zone office of J&K Bank

SOPORE:-Laying foundation of Kashmir North Zone J&K Bank complex here this morning, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday underlined the need for enhancing loan facilities for farmers, Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs( MSMEs), traders and others intending to start various economic activities and help in the growth of economy.

The Chief Minister emphasized on making loan disbursement hassle free and easy for the people so that they could utilize it timely to yield economic benefits and carry forward trade activities smoothly. “The disbursement of loan to farmers need to be made time bound to enable them carry on agricultural activities as per the calendar and obtain results successfully”, he added and asked the bank to reduce the gap between credit and deposits.
Omar Abdullah appreciated the J&K Bank for its positive role in the economic development of the State and keeping banking facilities available to the people extensively across the state.
The Chief Minister also inspected Sopore Bye-pass Bridge being executed by Border Roads Organization. He also interacted with people, heard their development demands patiently and said that government is keen to ensure holistic development in the state and reach out all areas in the process of development. He assured the people that their genuine demands would be given due consideration. (KMW News)
