Mehbooba demands Hill Development status to Pirpanchal division

Srinagar, Dec 7: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairperson Mehbooba Mufti Friday said that if the Governor’s administration can give status of Hill Development Council to Ladakh then we demand it should be done for Chenab Valley and Pir Panchaal also.

“If they are not willing to consider Chenab valley and Pir Panchal, we will start a peaceful agitation in this regard,” she said.

Mehbooba Mufti while addressing a press conference said that ahead of elections people do come and leave political parties.

While replying to a question, Mehbooba Mufti said that elections come and go and so does political leaders. She said that she feels sad that Drabu has quit the party, recalling how much hopes Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed had from him when he joined the party. “I wish him best of luck,” she added.
