LAHDC Kargil Chairman Meets with Every Infant Matters NGO

Kargil, July 16: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, met with Regional Director of Every Infant Matters NGO, Ms. Shikha, at his office chamber today.

During the meeting, Regional Director, Ms. Shikha briefed the CEC about the NGO’s work in Kargil over the past three years. She informed that Every Infant Matters NGO has been distributing protein and supplements to malnourished infants and mothers in the district. Ms. Shikha also highlighted the NGO’s innovative approach using AI-based haemoglobin testing without prickles, which has proven beneficial for mothers.

Expressing her desire to enhance collaboration and efficiency within the district, Ms. Shikha sought support from LAHDC Kargil for the NGO’s initiatives.

CEC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, appreciated and hailed the efforts of Every Infant Matters NGO in addressing malnutrition and supporting maternal and infant health in the region. He assured that LAHDC Kargil will provide every possible support to the NGO, in consultation with the Health Department and other stakeholders, to further strengthen their initiatives.
