Oslo, 05 Feb. President of Kashmir European Alliance Sardar Pervez Mehmood has expressed support and unity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir and their ongoing freedom struggle. Kashmir European Alliance is outraged over the sufferings of people in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. KEA vows to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people in Kashmir, lying at the crossroads of history. Kashmir European Alliance condemns all the ill-designed skills of coercion perpetuated by India in Indian Jammu and Kashmir. The incessant curfews and brutalities of occupation forces is a never ending story of Kashmiri people. India has filled the air in Kashmir with repression and continued misery and People in Kashmir are living with an uncertain future and with an uncertain destiny. People in J & K want justice for disappearances and killings of their youth but no one to lodge a protest and no one to listen to their woes.

Kashmir European Alliance pays homage to Kashmiri martyrs who lost their lives in fighting for Kashmir’s freedom. KEA pays tribute to those who lost their lives to uphold the ideals of freedom and liberty in Jammu and Kashmir. KEA honor their memory and pledge to spare no efforts in its quest to win back the lost glory and dignity of Kashmiri people. Basic rights of every human being are defined and endorsed by UN through charter of human rights and freedom. People in Jammu & Kashmir must be free to decide their political future to live with dignity and honor. Giving Kashmiris an opportunity to determine their political destiny can only ensure a comprehensive and durable peace and harmony in South Asia.

Kashmir European Alliance rejects recent election drama staged by India in Indian Jammu and Kashmir. After people went through century’s worst flood catastrophe, India misplayed the election drama among chaos, disruption and sufferings of people, instead of allowing international agencies to reach help the people and raise their shelters and supply them food and medicine. Ridiculous reporting of Indian media about voter turnouts in recent election is a part of old Indian fake propaganda practice to seek false pretensions to deny people of Kashmir their right-to-self determination. KEA believes that no such fake move can mist the struggle for freedom and right-to-self determination of Kashmiri people.

KEA is concerned over continued provocations from India along Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir. The so called new defense strategy what India call as offensive defense is a dangerous development in the context of already bitter relations between two nuclear rivals. India is pushing the limits closer to any probable dangerous situation which may trigger nuclear escalation between two nuclear rivals. This is dangerously unwise of Modi’s government to go for any low intensity warfare with its nuclear rival. This is widely known that BJP is holding the most hardcore extremist agenda about minorities in India and especially against smaller neighbors surrounding India. BJP is on the way of further deterioration of already fragile and sensitive relations with Pakistan. The new defense and political theory of deterrence by engaging the nuclear rival in low intensity warfare, when Pakistan is fighting the internal security and stability challenges is an alarming move by a country posturing for a permanent membership of UN Security Council.

Kashmir European Alliance appeals to all International forums to discourage India of their recently adopted offensive defense theory which is based on hatred and tantamount to aggression against Pakistan. Rest of the world is holding breath to watch Pakistan fighting for internal stability and keen to give substantial help to cope its internal security challenges which are also challenges to safeguard the control over nuclear installations. This means Indian new defense strategy which is painted by offense and aggression is a detrimental policy and undermining global efforts to fight down menace of terrorism.

Kashmir European Alliance urges both Pakistan and India to realize the importance of a genuine political approach to give way to a series of trilateral parleys on Kashmir Issue. Denying Kashmiris of their political representation have not brought up any sign of breakthrough in long lasting deadlock over Kashmir so far. Kashmiris are peaceful people and history shows that they never resorted to pile up arms and arsenals; neither did they resort to build up regular fighting forces ever during the Kashmir self rule history. KEA warns all political stake holders in Kashmir to not exploit the very peaceful ideals and attitude of Kashmiri nation. Sardar maintained!
