Four killed as car falls into gorge in Ramban

Jammu: Four people were killed when their car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH1-A)in mountainous Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning.

“Four people died on the spot when a car, which was on way from Srinagar to Jammu, skidded off the road near Digdole at Battery Chashma and plunged into 500-foot deep gorge in hilly Ramban district,” Anil Magotra, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ramban said.

He said the driver along with three others died on the spot.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. The bodies have been retrieved and shifted to hospital, he added.(KMW NEWS)
