Raigad, May 6 Election Commission of India (ECI) has organised International Election Visitors Program (IEVP) for international cooperation and participation with Election Management Bodies (EMBs) of other countries.
A foreign delegation is scheduled to visit Raigad district from May 6 to 8, 2024, as confirmed by Collector and District Election Officer Kishan Javale.
‘Seven members of a delegation will inspect the election process in Raigad Lok Sabha Constituency, specifically in the Raigad district of Maharashtra,’ Javale added.
The foreign delegation includes two Bangladeshi representatives, Mohammad Moniruzzman T and G M Shahtab Uddin, who serve as the Bangladesh Election Commission Officer.
Kazakhstan’s representatives are Nurlan Abdirov, Aybak Zikan from the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan, and Silja Hilakka Pasilina from Sri Lanka, who serves as Director of Sri Lanka.
The judges in Zimbabwe are Prishila Chigumba and Simbarashe Tongai (Central Electoral Commission Zimbabwe).
The foreign delegation will conduct an inspection of the polling process at Alibaug, as well as the distribution of materials at GSM College.
A meeting will be held with the collector and the district election officer at 1500 hours at the Collector’s office.
On May 7, they will visit various polling stations to learn about the actual voting process.
