During the meeting, the Executive Councillor emphasized that LAHDC Kargil is committed to gradually reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and promoting organic farming across the district. He stated that an abrupt reduction in chemical inputs may negatively impact agricultural land and farmers; therefore, the transition will be implemented in a phased and farmer-friendly manner.

The Executive Councillor further suggested that if full transition is not immediately feasible, efforts should be made to ensure 75% organic fertilizer procurement.
