Department of Zonal Physical Education, Drass Organizes Inter-School Block-Level Tournament

Drass, May 26: The Department of Zonal Physical Education, Drass, successfully organized the Inter-School Block-Level Tournament 2025 today at the Horse Polo Ground in Drass.

The tournament featured volleyball for boys and handball for girls, with competitions held in the Under-19 and Under-17 age categories. A total of 162 enthusiastic students participated in the event.

During the opening ceremony, Physical Education Masters Mr. Feroz Ahmed and Mr. Mohd Amin interacted with the participating teams and shared valuable insights. Mr. Mohd Hassan, a Physical Education Teacher, presided over the inaugural function and administered the oath-taking ceremony.

In his address, Mr. Mohd Hassan emphasized the importance of active participation in sports, stating that it is essential for building a healthy and vibrant society.

The tournament aims to promote sports at the grassroots level, strengthen the sports ecosystem, and encourage maximum student participation. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in fostering sportsmanship and physical fitness among the youth.
