The 50th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah is being observed today with reverence.

Various government and private organizations have chalked out special programs to highlight the services rendered by Fatima Jinnah for creation of Pakistan.

She worked side by side with Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and gathered the women of sub-continent on one platform, which made the struggle for achieving a separate state of Muslims easier.

In his message on 50th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said we must reflect on the great struggles the Muslim women of the Indian sub-continent undertook. He said the way Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah stood beside her brother Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the entire freedom movement is a great example of perseverance and steadfastness. The Prime Minister said for her struggle we draw lessons of sacrifice, and unconditional support for a noble cause.

He said today Pakistan provides women with equal opportunities of all sorts and an enabling environment to serve the motherland in every field.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said we should recommit ourselves to achieving a Pakistan envisioned by our founding father.
