Clashes erupt during CASO in Pulwama village

Srinagar, January 1 (KMW): Clashes erupted in Kareemabad village in the south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday after forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO).
An official said that forces launched a CASO in the village early today after inputs about the presence of militants.
Reports said that as soon as the CASO was being launched, people came out of houses and started pelting stones on the forces. The forces used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters, triggering further clashes.
The clashes were going on in the area when reports last came in.
