Kargil, Nov 18: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting with General Manager NHIDCL to address the maintenance of existing electric poles at GM Pore and Saliskote.

Deputy General Officer Commanding (Dy GOC) of 8th Mountain Division, COL Q, COL SO Land, COL CWE, Lieutenant Colonel, Captain AGENM, Councillor, GM Pore and Saliskote, Executive Engineer, PDD, Tehsildar Kargil, Numberdar Trespone and other concerned officers and officials attended the meeting.

During the discussions, it was decided that NHIDCL will install insulated conductors and beam crosses with braces under the 40 feet width of the existing utility poles.

Furthermore, linemen will be deployed to oversee proper maintenance and address any concerns raised by the local population.

Dr. Akhoon emphasized the importance of collaboration among various departments to ensure the smooth execution of these measures, which are vital for the convenience and safety of residents.
