BJP state secretary, his brother shot dead in Kishtwar

Srinagar, Nov 1(KMW):  A senior BJP leader and his brother were shot dead by unknown gunmen in Kishtwar area of Jammu division on Thursday night.
Reports reaching News Agency said that the gunmen fired upon the BJP state Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar at Tapal Gali in Kishtwar.
In the incident, the duo sustained serious head injuries and were taken to district hospital Kishtwar where doctors declared them brought dead on arrival.
The incident occurred when Ajeet Parihar, an SFC employee were returning home with his brother.
Confirming the incident, SSP Kishtwar, Rajinder Gupta told that a hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
“We are investigating as to who is behind the killings,” SSP said.
He said that Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has also ordered imposition of curfew in the district.
Following the killing, BJP workers started protests against the killing in many parts of Kishtwar.
Soon after the killings, a joint team of army and SOG have launched a massive searches in the area.
