Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Wednesday condemned the Ganderbal incident and demanded impartial probe in the matter.
In a statement issued here, Inqilabi said “goons†who attacked and killed a local youth, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, in a Masjid be arrested and an exemplary punishment be given to them.
He blamed ruling National Conference for the killing.
He said in 90’s youth started armed rebellion against the Indian rule of the region. “This placed Kashmir among the brave nations who stood up and fought against the tyranny and oppression.â€
“But the progeny of Sheikh Abdullah remain glued to the chair and sold their conscience for perks and privileges,†he added.
Inqilabi said the “goons†who killed Shabir had warned him to close a local darsgah. “And then they killed him and attacked other people while they were praying in the Masjid.â€
He warned if the culprits are not punished “its repercussions will be felt from Srinagar to New Delhi.â€
He accused state government of curbing peaceful activities of resistance leadership and charged government with creating “an atmosphere of waywardness.â€
“In the name of culture girls are sent outside J&K. In our schools history of Kashmir and its kings is nowhere,†Inqilabi said in the statement.
MeA patron castigated authorities for continuous detention of senior resistance leaders Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarat Aalam Bhat and Dr. Qasim.
He advised leaders of pro-India parties to look out for introspection in the light of the Holy Quran.
Inqilabi expressed grief over the plight of Muslims in Myanmar and condemned the silence of international community towards it.
He reiterated his appeal of marking 11-13 August as demand for right of self-determination.
“Demilitarization, demolition of Loc and unification of forcibly divided parts of Kashmir and installation of a democratic parliament will provide a way to solve this dispute amicably,†MeA patron said. (KMW News)Â
