SRINAGAR: According to official spokesman, the recommendations of the Working Group-V headed by Justice S. Saghir regarding strengthening relations between State and the Centre were submitted to the Chief Minister on 18.12.2009, subsequently a Cabinet constituted a Cabinet Sub Committee headed by Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs with a view to formulating response/ comments of State Government for further consideration and approval of Cabinet.
The Cabinet Sub- Committee constituted by the Cabinet comprises Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Minister for Health and Floriculture, Minister for Consumers Affairs & Public Distribution and Transport and Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation as its members.
Refuting the news item carried by a section of press today that the Cabinet Sub-Committee has submitted its recommendations to the Cabinet, the official spokesman clarified that actually the Cabinet Sub-Committee held series of meeting under the chairmanship of Finance Minister on January 28, 2011, June 1, 2011, August 8, 2011, December 27, 2011, February 17, 2012, March 27, 2012 and June 14, 2012, adding that the Cabinet Sub Committee, however, has not yet submitted its recommendations to the Cabinet.
