Arrangements for snow clearance reviewed in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 04: In view of inclement weather conditions, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmed Lone today convened a meeting with the officers of Mechanical Engineering Department, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and Public Works Department to review preparedness with regard to snow clearance arrangements in District Srinagar. The meeting was informed that all departments have made necessary arrangements for snow clearance and have kept men and machinery ready to meet out any eventuality.
Deputy Commissioner, directed all concerned agencies to activate their control rooms and ensure clearance of snow from roads, lanes and by lanes, especially those leading to Health institutions, and other important installations in Srinagar District. He also directed Srinagar Municipal Corporation to ensure all arrangements to address water logging in the city.
