6568 new COVID cases in J&K, 07 deaths; 347238 recovered so far

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 22: The  Government today informed that 6568 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 1875 from Jammu division and 4693 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 390949. Also, 07 Covid death have been reported; 05from Jammu Division and 02 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 2330more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 993from Jammu Division and1337 from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.

On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 34,423doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to2,01,56,471.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 390949 positive cases, 39113are Active Positive (12479in Jammu Division and 26634in Kashmir Division), 347238 have recovered and 4598 have died; 2246 in Jammu division and 2352in Kashmir division.

Till date 5620831 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8135persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 39113 in isolation and 429506 in home surveillance. Besides, 5139479 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 1604 cases, Baramulla reported 749 cases, Budgam reported 643 cases, Pulwama reported 230 cases, Kupwara reported 320 cases, Anantnag reported 243 cases,  Bandipora reported 418 cases, Ganderbal reported 99 cases, Kulgam reported 333 cases while as Shopian reported 54 fresh cases for today.
