Director General of Police S P Vaid said forces had an input about an impending militant strike in the Kashmir Valley for the past three days.

The CRPF camp also serves as training centre for troops inducted for counter-militancy operations in Kashmir Valley.

A Jammu and Kashmir Police team is also co-located with CRPF in this camp.

Militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad while ridiculing the operation all out launched by the army earlier this year claimed the responsibility for the attack.
