Srinagar, Feb 13, KMW: Zindagi an Indian entertainment television channel owned by the Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited (Zeel) by featuring top-listed Pakistani dramas has strongly seduced the women of Kashmir to skip the much watched Star Plus.
Apart from Kashmir, the stories which is being aired on Zindagi are such intelligently scripted and elegantly mounted that viewers has been reported phenomenal and appreciation for each show across the India.
With the popularity of Zindagi, the Channel successfully seduced women in Kashmir to tune instead of the much watched Star Plus which is strongly differ from the tradition and the culture of Valley.
“Pakistani cultural values are at play in these stories and yet they have a universal appeal. Human emotions are so alike in most cultures, that these stories could be staged anywhere from Lahore to London,” said a student of Women College Srinagar.
Since its launch on June 23, Indians are being treated to the best of new-age Pakistani TV dramas on offer. Hum TV’s booming success Zindagi Gulzar Hai and A-Plus’ Aun Zara have earned much praise and appreciation in Indian newspapers as well as on social media.
In the first phase, the Zee decided to launch the channel with Pakistani content because Pakistani shows are aired in Urdu, a language that is very close to Hindi. In Kashmir with the Urdu as its official language can relate with it easily. The dress code used in the shows by its actors also resembles the summer dress code of Kashmir.
