Younus Gul inaugurates 30th SK, Madri-Meharban Football Championship 2013

SRINAGAR, (KMW News): Former Chairman SMC and Northern Railway Board Member Mr. Younus Gul today inaugurated 30th Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Madri-Meharban Football Championship 2013.
The tournament was organized by the Kashmir Sports Srinagar in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited in which about 320 players of 16 teams of the Valley are participating.
While interacting with the players, the Chief Guest, Mr. Younus said that youth of the state have enormous potential but need of the hour is to channelize it in a proper way and asked them to hone their skill which will enable them to compete at national and international levels.
He said participation in games is essential for maintaining good health as healthy mind is a healthy sound. He asked the participants players to also ascertain education as education is key source to overall development.
Ex-Secretary to Sports Council Sheikh Fazal Ahmad, Organizing Secretary Mr. Ghulam Rasool Bahar, prominent citizens and a good number of sports lovers were present on the occasion.
