ISLAMABAD: Yaum-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) was observed Friday countrywide on call by the federal government amid protests throughout Pakistan. Private Television Channels reported that the traders kept their business activities suspended, while all kinds of transport and fuel stations were also closed. Rallies and processions were taken out and conferences held to mark the protest against the sacrilegious movie intended to inflame the sentiments of the Muslims worldwide. Protests were reported from all the big, small cities of the country. Protests were likely to intensified after Friday prayers. Meanwhile, Islamabad administration has imposed section 144 in the city to avoid any untoward incident. The federal government held Ishq-e-Rasool Conference in Islamabad with simultaneous conferences at all four capitals by the respective provincial governments.
