The World Bank has lauded the improving economy and security situation in Pakistan.
The appreciation came from Annette Dixon, Vice President of World Bank’s South Asia Region, during a meeting with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Washington on Saturday.
She said that the People of Pakistan are also happy with the improving situation.
Ishaq Dar said that World Bank has been a partner in renewable energy projects in Pakistan.
Later, talking to a delegation of International Finance Corporation in Washington, Ishaq Dar said the government is taking all possible measure for promotion of the private sector.
He said private sector projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be selected on priority basis.
The Minister said Pakistan Stock Exchange is being considered among the five big world stock markets.
