Srinagar, April 15: Emphasizing the party’s commitment to performance, valuing its workers and expressing readiness to take challenges head-on in way of serving the people, the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has urged the party leaders and workers to focus on demonstrating strength and solidifying the party at the grassroots level in order to work effectively for the cause of people of J&K.

Mehbooba Mufti while addressing a meeting of Central Kashmir leaders of the party said that every functionary must work to live up to being members of PDP that is a formidable force struggling for the people of J&K.

“Our founder Mufti sahab, had a deep emotional connection with Srinagar. His personal history and the time he spent in Srinagar contributed to his understanding of the city’s needs and aspirations. This connection also influenced the party’s focus on addressing the concerns of the people of Srinagar and advocating their interests. His affection for Srinagar and his dedication towards its development could be seen as a driving force behind the party’s efforts to represent the city effectively,” Mehbooba said.

She urged the workers to prioritize performance based work to mitigate people’s sufferings and strengthening the party at gross root level. “We must work for our people selflessly and earn their trust and confidence based on our empathetic work approach, “ she added.

Addressing the gathering party General Secretary Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura emphasised on bottom-up approach where every member of the party is seen as a potential candidate who must understand and promote the party’s agenda and programs at the grassroots level.

“Every member of our party plays a crucial role in representing and advancing the party’s agenda. We must realise this role and ensure that we are able to create a strong support base through engagement at all levels of society,” Hanjura said.

On this occasion, Additional General Secretary of the party Ms Asiea Naqash asserted the need to win the confidence of the people and strengthen the faith and trust that the people have showered on J&KPDP. She sought to build upon the strong legacy of the party and assured that party leadership will always continue to represent its aspiration at the highest forum.

Parliamentary Candidate for Srinagar parliamentary segment waheed ur Rehman Parra also spoke to the occasion and urged the workers to take the party agenda at gross root level vibrantly.
Among others senior party leaders including party state secretaries Bashir Ahmad Mir, Ab Hameed Kosheen, Rouf Ahmad Bhat, Arif Laigaroo , Media Coordiantor Bashir Ahmad Baig, District Presidents Mohd Yaseen Bhat and Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Constituency Incharges Mohd Iqbal Tramboo, Zuhaib Yousuf Mir, Molvi Nisar Ahmad, Fayaz Assad Dar, Adv Suraya, Ex Corporator Ab Waheed Dar Zone Presidents & others were also present and spoke the occasion.
