Chennai: Giving a breather to the UPA government, DMK chief M Karunanidhi today ruled out his party pulling out from the Centre and said he had nothing against the Congress, which is “not helping us” in the 2G issue.
“I have nothing against the Congress. I am not disappointed over Congress not helping us in the 2G spectrum issue,” the DMK patriarch told reporters here after a meeting of the party’s High Power Committee, which met amid speculation that DMK might pull out its ministers from the UPA government.
Karunanidhi said the DMK’s General Council, at its meeting next month, would decide on ties with other parties as it was the only authorised body to take such important decisions.
He rejected the Congress contention that it was defeated in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls due to the 2G scam.
