Tourist destinations Gulmarg, Pahalgam receive light snowfall

Srinagar, January 5 (KMW): The tourist destinations of the Kashmir valley Pahalgam and Gulmarg on Friday received light rain, snowfall during the night.
An official of the MET department said there was a possibility of light rains or snowfall at isolated places, especially in the higher reaches over the next 24 hours.
The night temperature in Gulmarg and Pahalgam and Kokernag were decreased from the previous night.
Qazigund has recorded minus 4.0 degree Celsius, Tourist destination Pahalgam has recorded minus 4.0, degree Celsius while Gulmarg has recorded minus 9.0, respectively.
The Kokernag area of district Islamabad has recorded minus 3.4 and Kupwara has recorded minus 2.0.
The Jammu city has recorded 6.7, degree Celsius; Banihal has recorded minus 0.4, Batote 1.0, Katra7.3 and Doda minus 0.2 degree Celsius
Leh has recorded minus 10.3, while Kargil has recorded minus 20.0 degree Celsius.
