JAMMU, MAY 28(KMW):To promote Patnitop as an independent tourist circuit and to discuss the modalities for holding of road shows at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jallandar and Amritsar by the Tourism Department a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Director Tourism, Jammu, R K Varma.
After a threadbare discussion, Director Tourism asked the travel trade fraternity to participate in the road shows to be held on June 6th, 19th, 20th and 27th, 2015 at Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jallandar and Amritsar respectively and to provide the list of participants besides working out the tourist friendly packages which can be announced in these Road Shows to make the event a mega success. They were also asked to carry sufficient publicity material to promote Patnitop as an independent tourist circuit.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Tourism, Jammu, Dr. Narupa Rai, Deputy Director Tourism, Publicity, Er. Sushil Attri, Deputy Director Tourism, Jammu, Vinakshi Koul besides Sham Kesar, Rakesh Wazir, Harish Dubey from Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra, Abhay Gupta from Tourism Federation of Jammu, Kamran Ali Khan-UHRA, Amrik Singh- JATO, Capt. Anil Gour – IATO, Harish Kumar Gosain – AJTA, Jatinder Koul- TAAJ, Mr. Ravi Mahajan, Chairman Paryatan Vikas Mandal, Mr. Kaushal Magotra, Patnitop Hotel Association, Nishant Gupta-ADTOJ, Parbhat Singh and Nikhil Gupta.
