MUMBAI: The granddaughter of Hindu extremist political party Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has married a Gujarati Muslim in Mumbai.
The Nikah ceremony of Neha, Bal Thackeray’s eldest late son late Bindumadhav’s daughter with Mannan, was held on Sunday (Dec 4).
Mannan is the son of Bindumadhav and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s old mutual friend.
It’s been reported that Bal Thackeray did not attend the wedding at Hotel Taj Lands End.
Neha’s mother Madhavi Thackeray received the guests who included the likes of Manohar Joshi, Ram Kadam, Ashish Shelar, Gopal Shetty, Nitin Sardesai and wife Swati, Mangesh Sangle, Shirish Parkar, Shishir Shinde, and others.
Reports have it that Raj Thackeray and family were also present at the reception.
Reports have been doing rounds that Thackeray’s son-in-law is a Hindu convert but the family has rejected such speculations.
