ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Prime Minister’s House on Friday and discussed matters pertaining to the national security, especially the situation arising after the NATO attack on Pakistani check post.
Prime Minister Gilani informed the army chief that the final decision regarding the halting of NATO supplies would be decided in the joint session of the parliament.
Meanwhile General Kayani took the prime minister into confidence regarding the security measures taken on the western border, adding that the security personnel have been equipped with modern weapons.
Both the dignitaries discussed about the professional matters of the army.
