Jammu: UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir on May 23 to lay the foundation stone of a cable-stayed bridge on Tawi river in Kathua district.
Gandhi will visit Basholi belt of Kathua district to lay the inauguration stone of the bridge on Tawi river on May 23, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said while reviewing the project at a meeting today.
She would be flanked by Union Defence Minister A K Antony during the visit, he said.
Chand said mega development projects have been launched in the state for all round development of its three regions with support of the Central government.
He said work on the roadmap to make the state a model state was underway and these infrastructure projects would go a long way in meeting the development aspirations of the people.
