Srinagar: National Conference President and Union minister Farooq Abdullah today said his party has always worked for better ties between India and Pakistan besides ensuring equitable development of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah conveyed this to the three-member team of Centre’s interlocutors on Kashmir which called on him at his Gupkar residence here, NC said in a statement.
The team, currently on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir, was led by eminent journalist Dileep Padgaonkar.
Abdullah briefed the interlocutors in detail about the prevailing political situation and the problems being faced by people.
He briefed the interlocutors about the history of National Conference, its strategy and manifesto and the stand of the party on the Kashmir issue.
“National conference has always worked as a strong bridge for friendly ties between India and Pakistan.
