Soldier killed as armies of India, Pakistan exchange fire along LoC in Rajouri

Srinagar, Dec 31 (KMW): The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy shelling on each other’s positions in Nowshehra sector falling in Rajouri district, reports reaching here. At least one soldier is reported killed in the fire exchange.

Reports said the slain soldier belongs to 19 Punjab regiment. Thee fire exchange was reported from Rumil Dhara in Dagwar belt.

The LoC in Rajouri sector has been highly active for last few weeks. The shelling triggered massive migrations from certain border belts as shells landed on civilian populations killing people.

Morerecently, four army men including a Major rank officer were killed in an ambush by the Pakistani army in the area.
