Kargil, Oct 11: Sankoo Campus, Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil on Tuesday successfully organized a skill certificate distribution event to honor students who completed skill courses under the National Education Policy (NEP) framework.

Dr. Salim Ahmad, Nodal Officer of Sankoo Campus, congratulated both the students and trainers on their achievements. He encouraged the students to embrace their skill courses with passion and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Dr. Javed I. Naqi, UT Nodal Officer for Skill Courses Higher Education Ladakh, emphasized the dual significance of skills both an employment tool as well as medium for personal growth. He stated that the occasion marked a significant milestone for LSDM and Higher Education Department Ladakh in integrating skill development with mainstream education as per NEP’s commitment to fostering employability and holistic growth among students.

Certificates were distributed to students who have successfully completed skill courses in Traditional Hand Embroidery and High-Altitude Trekking Guide under the NEP Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP).

Dr. Mohd Ilyas, faculty member from the Urdu Department presented the welcome address and moderated the session.
