KATRA: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today visited Community Health Centre Katra to take stock of functioning of the institute.
The Minister also inspected the construction work on 2-storeyed emergency hospital and directed the executing agencies to further raise the existing wall.
At CHC, Mr Sham interacted with the staff and the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided in the centre. He directed medicos and para-medicos to extend their services with utmost zeal and dedication to uphold the dignity of this noble profession.
Mr Sham said that the government is expanding a vast network of better healthcare facilities to every part of the state. He also appealed to the people to help the government in maintaining discipline and cleanliness in the health institutions for their own benefit.
The Block Medical Officer Katra, Dr Gopal Dutt apprised the Minister that deriving the current financial year, the medical block Katra registered 2,17,294 patients in OPD and 7619 indoor patients were treated against various ailments besides 46 major and 238 minor operations were also performed. He further informed that 214 deliveries, 7 laprolization, 2 NSV, 4581 laboratory tests, 2145 x-ray, 1898ultrasound, 750 ECG and under school health checkup programme 14 schools were covered by the team of doctors. He informed that an amount of Rs.4 lakh has been received as revenue in the Community Health Centre and apprised about the healthcare facilities being provided at Health Sub Centre, Banganga.
Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr Madhu Khullar, MD J&K Police Housing Corporation, Mr Mohammad Amin Shah, Director Floriculture, Mr K K Sharma, Additional SP Katra, Mr Mohan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reasi, Mr S S Sambyal, CMO Reasi, Dr Adarsh Bhagat, SDPO Katra, Mr Tickoo, senior officers of Municipal Committee Katra, Naib Tehsildar Katra and other senior officers from various departments were present.
