Secretary Education reviews functioning of department in Bhaderwah

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 22(KMW): On the directions of Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Secretary Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah today convened a High-Level meeting in the winter capital, Jammu to review the functioning of the Education Department in Bhaderwah area of Jammu Division and took stock of the availability of education facilities in far flung areas of Bhaderwah.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on several vital aspects pertaining to availability of teaching staff, basic infrastructure, and training of teachers, implementation of SSA and RMSA schemes and many more alike.

Secretary Education sought the detailed report about the implementation of RMSA and SSA schemes in Bhaderwah from State Project Director, RMSA, Tufail Mattoo and State Project Director, SSA, Abdul Rashid War and asked them to take positive steps for the effective implementation of the schemes in the area.

Secretary Education directed Director School Education Jammu, Ravinder Singh and concerned Chief Education Officer to take requisite measures to smoothen the functioning of the department and ensure the availability of the teaching staff in the area.

MLA Bhaderwah, DilipParihar, who was also present in the meeting brought some issues pertaining to the Education Sector in Bhaderwah into notice of the Secretary for which Secretary Education issued immediate directions to concerned officers to take necessary steps in this regard.

Farooq Ahmad Shah asked the concerned officers to adopt a pragmatic approach and put in a committed effort to accomplish the objective of providing quality education with especial focus on the far flung and backward areas of the State.

Additional Secretary, School Education, Masrat-ul- Islam, Additional Secretary, Ali Afsar Khan, Joint Director, Education, Jammu, Charandeep Singh, Joint Director Planning, Javaid Iqbal Mattoo and other senior officers of the concerned department attended the meeting.
