Chief Secretary reviews progress of Katra development projects

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 22(KMW): Chief Secretary, B B Vyas Thursday reviewed the progress of various infrastructural and sanitation projects being undertaken for the development of Katra Town and its adjoining areas.

Financial Commissioner, Housing and Urban Development Department, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, Administrative Secretaries of the departments of, Power, Revenue, PW(R&B), Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Forests and PHE, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi and other senior officers attended the meeting.

Chief Secretary received brief from the concerned officers on the action taken in regard to the decisions taken in the earlier meeting held on 13th October, 2017.

Progress achieved in regard to infrastructural projects including setting up of Solid Waste and Sewage Treatment Plants, augmentation of water supply, modernization of power supply system, improving veterinary facilities, strengthening of Fire Station, ensuring sanitation and cleanliness and development of health and tourist related infrastructure in the shrine area and in Katra Town was reviewed in the meeting.

Chief Secretary emphasized on expediting the implementation of all the works being undertaken in the town.
