Srinagar: The doctor, who was suspended for making alleged unauthorised transfer of a formidable sum of Rs 40 crore from central funds into his own account, challenged the government orders in Jammu and Kashmir High court on Wednesday.Official sources told that case was likely to come up for hearing tomorrow. The medico, Dr Shafaqat Hussian, is learnt to have contended that the transfer was made on the directions by the central government and that he was supposed to clarify his position in a meeting of finance department that was deferred from 15 to 21 January. However, before he was placed under suspension before he could elucidate his position. Â Â The doctor, who was an officer on special duty in the health and medical education department, has been placed under suspension and attached to the director for health services, pending an inquiry by a secretary of his department. The doctor has also been reverted back to his substantive post of assistant surgeon.
