SRINAGAR: A full dress rehearsal was held today in connection with the Republic Day celebration in Bakshi stadium, Srinagar today. The Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Asgar Hussain Samoon inspected the march past and took salute.
Among others, IGP, Kashmir, Mr. S.M. Sahai, IGP, JKP Armed, Mr. Rauf-ul-Hassan, Joint Director, Information and Public Relations, Kashmir Division, Mr. Itrat Hussain Rafique and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The contingents of BSF, ITBP, JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Pipe Band, NCC cadets participated in the march past.
Artists of Cultural Wing of Information Department and Academy of Art, Culture and Languages presented colourful cultural programmes on the occasion
Similar full dress rehearsals were held in Pulwama, Shopian, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Bandipora and Anantnag districts for Republic Day celebrations. The chief guests inspected march past and took salute. (KMW News)
