Rajnath Singh takes over as Home Minister, Rijiju as MOS

New Delhi, May 29: Home Minister Rajnath Singh assumed charge of his office here today.

Earlier in the day, Mr Kiren Rijiju also assumed charge as Minister of State for Home.

Later, senior officers of the Ministry briefed the Home Minister and the Minister of State about the activities of the Ministry.

Union Home Secretary Anil Goswamy has already briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the security situation in the country.
