Present Pak policy no as per aspirations of Kashmiris: Geelani

Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat Confrence Syed Ali Geelani has said the present policy of Government of Pakistan with regard to Kashmir “is not as per the aspirations and wishes of people of Kashmiris”

He accused Pakistan of maintaining criminal silence over the atrocities lashed by Indian forces, life sentences and judicial terror against the Kashmiris .
“In a one to one meet with High commissioner of Pakistan Salman Bashir, Syed Ali Geelani categorically said that “ instead of surrender ,we will prefer to hand over the movement to our next generation, in case, the freedom struggle does not yield required results”. Ayaz Akbar, spokesman of conglomerate said in a statement issued here.
He said that in Malvia Nagar Delhi, Syed Ali Geelanihad a meeting with High commissioner Pakistan Salman Bashir ,Dy High commissioner Babar Amin and other officials of Pakistan embassy. He said Geelani made his stand clear that “it is eminent that in near future India will not allow any share of water to Pakistan and the agriculture land in Pakistan will become barren”.
Strongly criticising the policies of Parvez Musharraf, ex-President of Pakistan, Syed Ali Geelani said Parvez Musharf is solely responsible for the deteriorating situation and devastation in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
“He made shameful bargaining at the cost of nation’s integrity and honour and with the result even the very existence of Pakistan is at stake. Salman Bashir during his meeting with Profreedom leader Syed Ali Geelani ,said that the government and the people of Pakistan do have great regard and are all praise for Syed Ali Geelani and very eager to see him in Pakistan”, Akbar said.
Ayaz Akbar furnishing the details of the interaction between the Pakistani leader and Syed Ali Geelani, said that the high commissioner maintained that Pakistan administration is eager to hear the stand and view point of Syed Ali Geelani.
Spokesman added that Syed Geelani during the meeting said that they should convey their leaders to show persistence and also should not deter from the national policy with regards to Kashmir and added that in case the administration of Pakistan exhibits the submissive approach towards this issue it would be detrimental both for Pakistan and people of Kashmir.
“In the said meeting between the pro-freedom leader and the ambassador, Syed Ali Geelani said, people are striving for their basic rights but India with its all military might has supressed the innocent people by resorting most barbarous act of violence and measures and is trying to suppress the birth right of innocent and deprived Kashmiri’s .The forces are free and enjoy impunity to kill and added the dignity and honour of every Kashmiri is at stake. They convict the innocent and Kashmir is a domain where they have even usurped the civilian authority”, added Syed Ali Geelani.
