PPP Condemns Hilal War’s Continuous Detention

Srinagar, 12 March(KMW): People’s Political Party has condemned the continuous detention of Chairman Er. Hilal War who is lodged in Srinagar Central Jail.

War along with other Hurriyat activists was intercepted by J&K police on Saturday at Sonawar while on his way to Shopian to express solidarity with the families of four civilians and two militants who were killed by army on 4 March.

War and others were taken to police station Ram Munshibagh from where he was shifted to Srinagar Central Jail.

The legal cell of the party was denied bail for War when they consulted the authorities. The party spokesman has condemned this “dictatorial act” of the authorities.

The party also paid rich tributes to the three militants martyred by forces today. Three militants, one from Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen and two from Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were killed by forces today in South Kashmir. A complete shutdown was observed Valleywide and authorities also put restrictions in place in various police stations of Downtown.
